I love taking photos. I describe my style as incidental & unobtrusive, capturing moments as they happen. This page is a place for me to share my photos and projects, seeing where this venture takes me. There isn't one set genre, but a common theme is travel photography, portraits, weddings, beauty and babies.
I love nothing more than to capture a person's absolute essence - so that when you look at the photograph you see them in their entirety, the kind of photograph that leads to the comment "That is SO Jane/Bob/Gil/Ralph!".
I got particularly hooked on photography after moving to London with my now-husband, exploring that wonderful city and as much of Europe & the UK as we could! I had the best of intentions with a travel journal however photos became my way of documenting our adventures.
An SLR purchase followed, along with a number of day/weekend courses to get myself out of "Auto" mode. A Diploma in Photography from a UK institution also added to my professional development. I continue to take courses and attend workshops, such as through the Canon Academy and Sydney's Head On Photography festival.
